Mcdonald Ansty Hall, Coventry
The Hall was originally built in the latter part of the 17th Century and the first occupant of the house was Richard Taylor. As Mr Taylor had no male offspring the estate reverted to the female line, to Simon Adams. All the male members of the family found themselves joining the church or the military with some of the Adams family being clergy to the church behind Ansty Hall. The highest-ranking ‘Adams’ to join the military was Sir Henry Adams, who rose to the rank of Brigadier General. Sir Henry died in 1857 from a wound received in the Crimean War and his grieving widow commissioned a bell tower at the church along with an inscription in his memory.
This Hall and gardens are fantastically kept making a ideal venue for functions and weddings. Crazy Golf Fun was set up towards the back of the rear lawn with plenty of access for all.
